Specialist Teaching and Learning Assistant (Early Years)

Gorseybrigg Primary School and Nursery is seeking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic and creative Specialist Teaching Assistant to be based in our busy Nursery from September 2021. The post will be for 3 days per week, with an expectation that the postholder will be able to lead the base for part of the week, as an HLTA. Please note that our FS1 and FS2 team work as a cohesive unit, and some aspects of the day include working in shared areas, particularly outdoors.

We are looking for someone who can:

  • Work effectively alongside other members of our Foundation Team to make our offer to the children exceptional
  • Bring a range of expertise and knowledge to our team, helping us further improve our provision
  • Be efficient, adaptable and hard working

School Business Assistant

Gorseybrigg Primary School and Nursery is seeking to appoint a new School Business Assistant. We are a one form entry school with a Nursery in Dronfield Woodhouse. We have a child centred approach, friendly and committed staff and a team continually striving to improve the offer to our children and families. The post is from September 2021 and will be for 16 hours a week (spread over 5 days) term time only. We are looking for someone who can:
  • Work under the direction of our School Business Manager to organise and manage the day to day running of the school office.
  • Monitor pupil attendance and maintain our dinner registers.
  • Ensure the smooth running of the Breakfast and After School Club administration.
  • Use a wide range of IT software to support the school, including the administration of our premises checks.
  • Be efficient, adaptable and hard working
  • Work well as part of a team and wants to contribute to making our school the best it can be.
