Gorseybrigg Primary School and Nursery

Our Mission Statement:
To positively impact the lives of all children and families.

Welcome to the PTFA page. We are a small group of parents who, with the support of staff and friends, plan and run various fundraising activities throughout the school year.

We meet informally roughly once a term to discuss new ideas and to organise events such as the Summer Fayre, the Christmas Market, film nights, discos and uniform sales.

Last year we held some brilliant events, and the money raised went towards the purchase and installation of better equipment for the playground, which the children were very excited about!

We are currently considering fundraisers for the year and how to spend the money raised. We have a few ideas but would love to hear yours, please do get in touch with us.

We are always happy to have more people join the PTFA or help out as and when they can. If you are able to help, just get in touch and we will be happy to talk with you.

For more information please see our PTFA information booklet

When you purchase eligible items, the AmazonSmile Foundation will donate 0.5% of the sale to a charity of your choice. You can use the AmazonSmile website or app and link it to Gorseybrigg Primary to donate towards the school fund.

PTFA Update

PTFA Recruitment

From the end of July 2022 Liz Beasley will be stepping down as Chair.  Therefore there will be openings for a new Chair, Vice Chair and Secretary.  It would be great to do a handover before September starts!

Please get in touch if you're interested in taking on one of these positions via

It's such a rewarding, enjoyable way to help improve school for the children and a lovely way to make friends and get to know staff and the school more!

We are a friendly group and will help you out as much as we can! We all work together so you can give as much or little time as you can.

Please message us at if you'd like to join in!

The PTFA has been established, successfully, for a number of years in the school. We hold fund raising activities where the money goes to providing your children with many ‘extras’ that may not be able to be bought by school e.g. playground equipment.

Without this committee there would be no PTFA. We also have a list of helpers who could be called upon to help out at bigger fund raising events.

If you would like to join or know more about the committee or feel that you would like to be on our helpers list please complete the form below and let us know how you’d like to help.

Here are some very quick and easy ways you can help raise funds with just a few clicks!
