Behaviour and Rewards
We believe that our school is a safe and happy place for all our pupils, and operate a positive behaviour reinforcement code.
Our whole school reward system is based on our school values.
Throughout the year, we focus on our overarching value “Be the best that you can be”, and we also concentrate on one value per half term.
For 2021-22, this will be as follows:-

Our Celebration Assemblies take place on a Thursday. Foundation Stage and Key Stage One hold theirs at 10:20, and Key Stage Two at 11:15. Children are chosen to receive a special certificate for demonstrating one or more of our values during the previous week. Teachers present these alongside the Headteacher and explain why the children have been chosen. In 2018-19 children also received a wristband for collecting reward points each term, which were presented on a Friday. This academic year, we aim to change the rewards in order to keep the children motivated.
Additional class rewards also form an important part of our policy and are chosen by teachers to be relevant to the age and stage of their children. In 2018-19 the children were given wristbands with each of the values on as they earnt their reward stickers. This year, we aim to work towards a special "I am the best I can be" badge.
