 Monday 18th May Update

As we come to the end of the first half of Summer term, it feels strange that we are not celebrating the end of SATS with our Y6s. They had been working so hard before school closed, and we already knew then that they were going to do brilliantly. However, I would like to remind all of them that the test itself wasn't important, and that all the things that were learnt are to help you with the next stage of your education. I am only sorry that we couldn't enjoy this week together, where traditionally we have a lot of fun and do very little work - don't tell your parents!

I hope that you found the letter that I sent out on Friday useful (please see a copy on the website if you missed it). I hope that I am able to offer a bit more clarity as we progress through the week, and will let you know as soon as I have more information. This Wednesday marks 2 months since schools were closed, which even now seems hard to believe. I hope that we can all remain focused on the positives as much as possible.

Finally, whilst school remains open during the half term break for our key worker families, can I remind you that staff will not be setting any work, as I hope to give them a break too. I'm sure that this is a welcome relief for some parents, as well as your children!

Have a good week and enjoy the sunshine.
